The two-gap BCS model in the large-N approximation within a field-theory approach

Abstract We study the continuum version of two-gap BCS model in (3 + 1)D within large- N approximation. calculate effective potential which depends on two independent energy gaps σ and Δ, where describes Cooper pair made electrons that belong to same internal symmetry whereas Δ have a different symmetry. The is calculated by considering Debye frequency an ultraviolet cutoff Λ, meant describe physical lattice 3D superconductors. Our main result shows extra gap provides possible inter-band phase transition may be either stable or metastable phase, depending competion between coupling constants model. also derive critical temperature below phases observed.
